Main filter sizes

The filter index is supplemented by a symbol indicating the material from which the metal mesh is made: U – low-carbon steel; N – stainless steel.

Upon agreement with the customer, filters of other standard sizes can be manufactured. The filter is operational and maintains its technical characteristics at the temperature of the air being purified from minus 40° to plus 150°C.

General design and maintenance of cell filters (FC)

The FYaZh filter circuit is shown in the figure. The filter consists of a collapsible metal body formed by two metal L-shaped profiles made of galvanized steel. Inside the housing there is a filter layer made of a set of special metal corrugated meshes. To prevent the mesh from falling out of the housing, a supporting frame mesh made of galvanized steel is installed inside the housing on the air inlet and outlet sides. On request, the filter housing can be made of stainless steel. The filter must be serviced only after turning off the electric motor of the air conditioner fan or air handling unit. At the same time, posters should be posted on the starting devices: “Do not turn on! People are working.” Observe the general fire safety rules in accordance with GOST 12.1.004, section 1. The metal structure in which the filter is located must be reliably grounded in accordance with the requirements of “PUE” – 1985, chapters 1 to 7. During operation of the filter, its aerodynamic resistance should be monitored according to the readings of a pressure gauge connected to the fittings located in the walls of the air purification chambers before and after after filters.

When the pressure drop reaches the value specified in the passport, design or selected based on the available pressure in the ventilation system, the filter must be washed, for which:

  • remove the filter from its installation location;
  • rinse under running hot water;
  • if it is not possible to wash the filter assembly, it must be disassembled to wash each mesh separately; to improve rinsing, surfactants, such as caustic soda, can be added to the water;
  • after washing, assemble the filter in the reverse order, paying attention that the corrugations of adjacent meshes are perpendicular to each other;
  • After assembly, dry the filter and install it in place.
