Roll filters type FRS

The roll mesh filter (instead of FRPM filters) is designed to clean recirculated air from fibrous dust in general ventilation (air conditioning) systems at textile industry enterprises or in similar conditions. Filters can be mounted in the openings of filter chambers or attached to the flanges of sections of air conditioners of the KTC type.

Design and operation of roll filters (FRS)

Filters of five standard sizes with different throughputs are unified and assembled from two basic sections with a nominal throughput of 31.5 thousand m3/h and 40 thousand m3/h. The F6RS and F8RS filters are assembled from two sections installed in parallel, the F12RS filter is assembled from four sections installed in two rows in height and two sections in each row.

The unified sections consist of a frame with a supporting grid for filter material. Above and below the sections, outside the air passage zone, there are coils on which the filter material is wound. At the bottom of the sections there is a slot dust and dust extractor, which is connected to the suction fan using air ducts. The placement, selection of the suction fan and routing of air ducts to the slot suction are developed during the design.

The switching and control equipment of the filter is placed in the control station cabinet, which is installed separately from the filter outside the filter section. The filter works as follows. Under the influence of the vacuum created by the fan of the ventilation system (air conditioner), air is sucked through the filter material. Dust and fluff contained in the air are deposited on the surface of the filter material, forming a loose fibrous layer, which is an additional filter medium.

As the layer grows, the filter resistance increases. In order to avoid a noticeable drop in system performance, the filter is regenerated, during which the dust and dust extraction system is turned on and the filter material begins to rewind from the upper reel to the lower one. As it moves, the filter material passes by the suction slot and is cleaned of captured dust and fluff. The interval between filter regenerations is selected depending on the dust concentration and the available system pressure and can range from a few minutes to 24 hours. The regeneration interval is set by setting the time relay during commissioning.
