Filter-ventilation tables for welders type FTW

The advantage of tables of the FTW type compared to conventional tables is the presence of a built-in filter-ventilation unit of the PAR-MG type (see the catalog of NPP Folter LLC) and an exhaust device that allows you to effectively remove and clean contaminants formed during metal processing. FTW type tables can be equipped with two types of filtering units: PAR-MG and PAR-PIG. The difference between these units is that the operation of PAR-MG requires only electrical power supply, power 2.2 kW, and for the operation of PAR-PIG an additional supply of compressed air is required to regenerate the filter element installed in this unit.

The FTW type table consists of the actual table on which the metal is processed, a built-in filter-ventilation unit of the PAR-MG or PAR-PIG type, a cantilever-rotary exhaust device and a control unit for the PAR-MG and PAR-PIG units.
The front and side panels of the table are removable for access to the filter and ventilation units.

Filter-ventilation units have their own adjustable supports to eliminate the transmission of vibration from the unit to the table. The suction pipe of the unit and the table pipe are connected via a flexible air duct. The automation system of the units is equipped with a differential pressure sensor, signaling the replacement of filters in the PAR-MG units and the need to regenerate the cartridge filter element in the PAR-PIG unit, which is carried out in automatic mode. Replacement of cell filters in PAR-MG and the FEP cartridge filter element in PAR-PIG is carried out by first removing the front fence from the welder’s table, and then the front panel of the PAR-MG or PAR-PIG units.

Welding tables equipped with a PAR-PIG unit require a compressed air line purified to class 10 according to GSO 174433-80. Compressed air is necessary for regeneration (self-cleaning) of the FEP cartridge filter element. In cases where there is no or difficult possibility of supplying air to the welder’s table, it is advisable to use the PAR-MG unit, which uses storage-type filters that are replaced after they are completely clogged. The service life of these filters, depending on the conditional operation, can range from 3-4 months to 1 year.
