Section of pleated filters type SSF

The SSF type pleated filter section is designed for installation and sealing of FyaS type pleated filters with overall dimensions 592x592x292(300) in supply and exhaust ventilation and air conditioning systems of domestic, administrative and industrial buildings. The section is located as part of the ventilation system and is part of it.

FyaS filters are produced in classes F6-H14 and in some cases require the installation of filters of lower efficiency in front of them. In this case, in front of the SSF section, directly adjacent or somewhere earlier, a section of pocket filters of the SKF type (see the catalog of NPP Folter LLC) with FyaK filters of the required class and a pocket length of up to 600 mm can be installed. By special order, the SSF section can be equipped with elements for installing and sealing FyaK pocket filters with a pocket depth of no more than 350 mm or pleated compact filters of the FyaS-K type with a depth of 292 mm.

General structure of pleated filter sections (PSF)

The pleated filter section consists of a metal body with inlet and outlet flanges for connection to the flanges of the ventilation system by means of bolted connections through sealing rubber. On one side the section has a door, which is sealed with the body due to special clamps placed on it. Inside the housing, folded filters are placed in tiers, which are pushed into the housing along two guides located at the bottom of each tier. The FyaS filters are sealed in the SSF housing by pressing them with screws to the pressing surfaces of the “windows” located at the air outlet from the SSF section. The SSF section has two fittings for connecting devices that measure the resistance of filters, for example a differential pressure gauge DPG-600 (see the catalog of NPP Folter LLC).

As mentioned above, upon a separate order, the SSF section can be equipped with elements for installing and sealing air pre-cleaning filters of the FyaK and FyaS-K types. In this case, the tiers of SSF(K) sections at the top and bottom at the air inlet are supplemented with guides along which pocket filters FyaK or FyaS-K are pushed in after preliminary installation and compaction in the FyaS filter section. The sealing of the frames of the FyaK or FyaS-K filters in the housing guides is carried out by pressing them against the rubber seal glued to one of the sides of the guides. The sealing of FyaK or FyaS-K filters in one tier with each other and with the rear wall of the SSF(K) is carried out using rubber seals glued to the vertical end surfaces of the FyaK, FyaS-K frames. In the index of FyaK or FyaS-K filters for SSF(K) equipment, the letter “U” is added, indicating the presence of the specified seals. To control the resistance of additionally installed FyaK or FyaS-K filters, the SSF(K) section is retrofitted with fitting 7. FyaS filters for SSF are supplied separately with a seal at the air outlet and are installed after installing the section in the ventilation system.

Maintenance of pleated filter sections (PSF)

During the operation of FyaS filters, their aerodynamic resistance (pressure drop) should be monitored according to the readings of a pressure gauge connected to two fittings of section 6 of the SSF. When the pressure drop reaches the value specified in the filter passport, in the project, or based on the available pressure in the ventilation system, it is necessary to replace the FyaS filters.

The initial aerodynamic resistance of the SSF(K) section when installing an additional first stage of purification (filters FyaK or FyaS-K) increases by the value of the initial resistance of filters of the corresponding class (see the catalog of NPP Folter LLC). The final resistance of the FyaK or FyaS-K filters is determined based on the recommendations of the passport for the FyaK, FyaS-K filters or the available pressure reserve of the ventilation system fan. When the selected final resistance of the first stage of purification is reached, the FyaK, FyaS-K filters are replaced.

Replacement of filters of the 1st (FyaK or FyaS-K) and 2nd (FyaS) purification stages installed simultaneously in the SSF(K) section can be done at different time intervals, following the recommendations of the selected final resistance for each stage, controlled using pressure gauges connected to two fittings 6 and fitting 7.
